Welcome to King Cross Practice, Halifax
We have a team of 5 doctors working from purpose-built premises (1988). Four of the doctors form a general, not limited partnership. We aim to work as a team to provide a high standard of healthcare to individuals and families. We believe most patients prefer to have their own personal doctor and we encourage patients to see their usual doctor whenever possible for ongoing medical conditions. Access to the building does not involve stairs.

Text Message Services
Always keep us up to date with your contact details, especially your mobile number. Once you've let us know that you're happy for us to contact you this way, we text appointment confirmations and reminders as well as invitations for reviews. You can also text us back to cancel your appointment, just text the word CANCEL back to the number on your reminder message.
Once you've been seen by one of our clinical teams, you may be sent a text asking whether you would recommend us to your friends or family. Please take the time to respond to this as we value your views. You also have the option of stopping such texts from us.
Texts are charged at your normal rate or as part of any mobile contract you may hold with your provider. It is not a premium number.
You can cancel your GP appointment online whether it was made online or not. Click on the Cancel Appointment button below.
ONLINE - RESETTING YOUR PASSWORD
If your online password needs to be reset, please come in to the surgery with photo ID (driving licence or passport) and confirmation of your address (utility bill etc). We cannot do this over the telephone.
Busy Call Times
Monday morning is by far our busiest time of the week. Our Monday morning call rate between 8 and 9 am is running at around 100. Clearly it is impossible to handle this number of calls, so it is inevitable that some callers will experience problems getting through to us. We have three incoming lines in total. We try to restrict outgoing calls during our busy times to leave lines free for patients to use. We could increase the number of lines but we do not have the staff to manage more incoming lines, so unfortunately this is not an option.
Our main surgery number is 01422 230730
